Polished Kaolin Flint Spud 6 5/16" long x 2 3/8" wide
This is a killer relic that was found by Darrel Vavak in Stoddard County, Missouri around 1992. It's made from a flaked and polished Kaolin flint which is the classic material for Mississippian spuds. This also has a complete history from finder to me. It's an ex-Don Lewis piece who is known as the Kaolin King. Don purchased this piece from the original finder. It comes with a Maury Meadows COA and the pictures really speak for this piece. These are super rare and almost impossible to purchase. This is one fine relic!

Flared Bit Spade 10 1/2" long x 5 7/16" wide
Here's a really colorful flared bit spade that was found near the town of New Bourbon in St. Genevieve County, Missouri. It's made from Mill Creek Chert and was likely in a house fire during the Mississippian times thus giving it a red color and some smoke staining. House fires were common occurances in prehistory. This is a nice thin spade with nicely flaring bit and good color. It has no modern damage and the end is fractured which is common in spades. The bit is lightly polished so this piece was not used extensively.

Angostura 2 3/4" long x 1 3/16" wide
Here's a nice little paleo piece at an affordable price. This Angostura was found in Lee County, Illinois near Dixon. It's made of Galena Chert and is a classic Angostura form with strong basal thinning and nice lateral edge grinding. Like a lot of Angosturas it has a slight twist from resharpening but is very thin and well knapped. Shouldn't last long at this price!
